There’s no doubt about it, Flipboard was the best app to hit the iPad in 2010, and we were all over it like fangirl bees round honey when it launched. And, with immaculate timing, they’ve launched their first big update to keep them ahead of the pack as we go into 2011.

As well as feeds from Twitter and Facebook, as well as numerous websites, you can now add your Google Reader account, which is pretty much the best thing ever. You can also add feeds to show just the pictures from your Twitter timeline, just your at replies, just links from your Facebook feed and the like.

There’s also the ability to post to Facebook or Twitter from within the app, and send notes to Google Reader. Drooling yet? There’s more. You can now read more of the content from the first click, and can even send stuff to Instapaper. I kid you not, this is the killerest of the killer apps.
