Not long now! Not long til the big day! Only a certain number of shopping days left! I am, of course, talking about Halloween, and what a wealth of apps there are out there dedicated to this special day. Whilst not the most imaginative title, Halloween is an app that has everything you need to have a spook-tacular time. Sorry. Not only does it have a countdown to the day itself, but there’s a whole wealth of sounds you can employ to really frighten people. Hook your iPhone up to some speakers and then play the Psycho music every time someone tries to take a shower. Employ your best crazed killer look, and play Jack Nicholson’s classic line from The Shining on a loop. There’s also some music loops for a more general haunted house feel, although there is an in-app 69p upgrade if you want that. There’s also the chance to impress your friends with some Halloween trivia. And the best bit is the totally non-frightening price - completely free.
